Dream Journal: February 21, 2014

I’m taking a shower. While I’m doing this, a young woman enters the room, takes her clothes off and jumps in with me. I’m confused as to why she’s here, and I’m a little freaked out, but not freaked out to stop what I’m doing and leave. Or even ask her why she’s here.

She keeps showing off her body and dirty talking to me, obviously wanting me to have sex with her. I ignore her and wait for her to turn around. Once she does, I jump out of the shower, steal her tablet PC sitting on her pile of clothes, and hide in a closet playing the video games on the device.

A very large, obese man with a gun is shooting up the inside of a grocery store. He hasn’t killed anyone, choosing instead to shoot out windows and display cases. I know about all this because it’s happening on tv. The man looks directly into one of the news cameras, and demands that I show up. If I’ve got the guts.

When I do arrive, he forces me into a chair and tells me that he loves me. He’s mad that I never reciprocated his feelings. I tell him that I can’t be with him; my heart belongs to another. I nervously look around, trying to find the nearest man. Once I find one, I grab him and start making out with him in full view of the man with the gun. Both of them vanish soon after.

Once he knows they’re gone for sure, the manager of the store approaches me and thanks me by giving me a job, and letting me know that my shift starts right now.

I find myself lost inside a Wal-Mart. The only way in or out is through a hidden door which I can’t find. Rather than ask the employees for hints on how to get out, I instead ask them where I can find a can of Amptm Energy Drink.

  1. Awesome, haha! How many serial shootings have there been in Colorado? Is it me, or why do a fair portion of the ones that pop into my head come from there? o.O

  2. There’s been a bunch, yeah. There’s even more that don’t make the news. Like aside from the Aurora theater shooting and the Arapahoe High School shooting, I heard from one of my old co-workers that someone went into my old job on Black Friday and shot up the place (nobody got killed, probably why it never got reported). It’s like everyone owns a gun except for me.
