James’ foray into Interactive Fiction

I used to (around 2006-2008) have this desire start working on text adventures, but I would never be able to finish them. There’s a good reason for this, and I’m just going to throw this out there: I don’t really like text adventures. This is mostly due to having to struggle with the text parser, or trying to get into the mindset of the creator as you struggle with solving the weird ass puzzles most of these games have. And as far as stuff made in Twine goes, controversial opinion time: Without being too much of a prick and deriding everyone who makes Twine, er, projects, I don’t really consider Twine games to be real games. They just feel like (and are, really) HTML pages that link to one another, with all the interactivity of reading a Geocities webpage from fifteen years ago. Sorry, everyone.
