Hello everyone. For the last two and a half years (the half year comes from my mother having a stroke last August, understandably killing any posts and updates for a time), I’ve arbitrarily decided to exclusively cover the PSP in August. I thought that this year, I would switch it up a little bit. I am going to be broadening my reach to handheld systems as a whole, rather than focus on only one. Mostly because I’m eventually going to reach a point where I run out of things to say about the PSP, and I’m scraping the bottom of the Playstation Minis barrel for something to make me feel like a human being again.
So this week, expect a write-up of a PSP game (if you’re on my Patreon, you can read it right now!). Then after that, look forward to other systems getting the spotlight. Hell, I’m finally going to cover a Wonderswan game! Might even talk about the Neo-Geo Pocket! Who knows what else will happen? Anything is possible in this topsy-turvy world of ours!
I’m playing lots of retro games and watching old anime to escape from the cruel realities of our current world and remembering a time when social fascism wasn’t turning art and expression into bland, grey materials for you to hit “like” on. Eventually, I may find myself permanently trapped in Y2K, and it won’t particularly bother me. We need to go back. Not that games aren’t cool now, but they were much cooler back then. I want to talk about those cool games that were unique and innovative on systems that themselves were unique and innovative and some of them let you put a keychain charm on them. You should look forward to it!
